Now she seemed to fully wrap her head around the idea. "i see, I see", she paced a bit. Her foot finding spot of the floor where no tatami covered the polished wood. Without thinking, she lifted a foot and slid on her tabi across it, several feet. "hmmmm..."

She stopped and faced him.

"Thank you, Isawa-san, that was very educational. Do you mind if I ask you about your involvement in the event?"

"You may ask me whatever you like, Bayushi-san. Which event are we discussing, and what do you mean by 'involvement?'

[Bayushi Ameiko]

"Oh! I meant nothing strange, only to ask what manner of art you will offer to be judged", she said. "What is your favorite medium to work in?"

"My favorite..." He considered a moment. "I am not sure of that. I was trained in ikebana, sculpture, and calligraphy, and I suppose it is my arrangements that have garnered me the most compliments, so it is probably there that I will turn. Certainly Kakita-sama has never seen fit to criticize them before."

"oh, Ikebana? It's a very beautiful art, Isawa-san", she agreed "Some garden patrons of the Shosuro do wonderful things in that regard. Have you been to Shiro no Shosuro? Or perhaps seen the gardens in Ryoko Owari?"
