[Day 6, Late Morning] Perfection is the Enemy of the Perfectly Adequate (Open)

[Bayushi Choudai]

It was Choudai's turn to look away.

"I'm not much of an aficionado. I don't dislike music, but it's not a big thing in my life."

He paused.

"Obachan always liked to sing 'Lucky Lady Sun,' and during my time with the army, I got used to hearing 'Remember to Breathe,' and 'East of the Sun.' I guess those three would be my favorites."

[Doji Yoshino]

"I know two of those... if you'd like a rendition at some point, then that's doable. If you'd prefer something else then... maybe a portrait?" Yoshino ponders aloud as she looks back his way. It was just brainstorming more than anything now. Seeing if an idea caught his fancy.

[Bayushi Choudai]

His tone was downright dry, but also amused.

"I think I've had enough portraits of me out of this event, Doji-san. A song would do nicely."

[Doji Yoshino]

"I didn't mean like that." She grumbles, giving him a chastising (but also slightly amused) look.

"Very well. Lucky Lady Sun or Remember to Breathe in the near future, ne?"

[Bayushi Choudai]

"I look forward to it, Doji-san."

He paused.

"And I hope this... consultant can resolve things for you."

[Doji Yoshino]

"Me too. I expect it'll be some time before they arrive, but Asahina-sama at the shrine has researched some wards that can be used until then."

She bowed to the Scorpion.

"Good luck today. I hope you get back your things very soon."

[Bayushi Choudai]

"I would wish you the same, but we don't need luck, Doji-san."

He tipped her a wink.

"We're just that damned good."

[Doji Yoshino]

This forced Yoshino to cover her mouth to stop herself laughing aloud in public. What Doji would ever do that?

"Carry the Fortunes Bayushi-san."

A bow and she quickly made her exit. Choudai could finish his shopping in peace.
