"I imagine I do not need to instruct you on how to see the world from outside yourself."

He adjusted quickly as she prodded and moved him, taking instruction easily.

He shook his head at first but smiled knowing she could could not really see it covered as her eyes were "No I have long been trained in expanding my awarness beyond my eyes."

Her gaze falls upon him then: even though her eye is clouded, it burns with intensity. As both move on to a higher awareness, their souls becoming absolutely present in the moment, the movement of the world around them takes on greater prominence. The slow sound of breathing and the fainter voices and footfalls of those students training outside. The subtle changes in the intensity of light pouring into the room as clouds slowly pass over the sun. To acknowledge your tiny place in the grand scheme of things that you might see beyond yourself -- there's serenity here, and the woman makes her home in it, even as she tries to read beneath the cool surface of the monk's On.

Yoshiaki is a flame. Beneath that cool, distant On is a raging fire. One of passion and drive tamed and restrained through years of meditation and practice. A strong, steely resolve surrounds that fire and directs it, turns it into a power. And at the center of that fire is a core of serenity where he sits, floating in that void.

He was unpracticed at the art of duelling but as she assumed he was rather adept at focusing himself in the sea of the void. Reaching out to Nadeshiko to see beyond what could be seen with eyes.

(Probably just RP it he has no ranks in Iai so she'll easily win in a duel.)
