[D4 ME Open] Another!

[Kitsune Shizenko]

Once again Shizenko has found herself in the Sake house. Raakun by her side. The woman looked at her companion and sighed. "I miss hunting in the woods... talking to friends..." She looked up at the bar keep and asked for a bottle of sake.

Staying in this place is kind of a bummer. But I am getting a full belly all the time.

"Yeah at least there is that... that is a plus... I guess." The Kitsune shrugged. "So after this we are to go to Akagi Mori. Studying plants and the animals that inhabit the Daidoji lands."

But what about food. I am enjoying the scraps from that guy you met in the walled plants.

"Come on Raakun you don't want to get a fat belly."

She tickled the tanuki's belly.

[Yoritomo Tomodachi]

"Can one of those get fat?" comes a gravelly voice.

Yoritomo Tomodachi lifts a cup.

[Akatupo]

Akutapo poured two cups, one for the Kitsuke and one for her friend. The Mantis had come in earlier. He liked to drink, clearly, though there was clearly someone he was chasing at the bottom of the bottle. But for now, the samurai were talking and he knew better than to converse when they spoke amongst themselves.

Didn't mean he didn't appreciate the view though.

[Kitsune Shizenko]

"Can one of those get fat?" comes a gravelly voice.

Yoritomo Tomodachi lifts a cup.

"Huh? Yes, yes they can. If one is not careful, and he becomes lazy the tanuki can indeed fatten."

But I am always running around with you... to keep up with your long paws is not an easy task.

"There is that." She sipped her cup

"Did not know that," Tomodachi says, and he sketches a slightly wobbly bow. "Learn something new every day."

He takes a pull from his drink. "You've been doing good origami," he says to her.

[Kitsune Shizenko]

"I guess we do..." She looked at Raakun and patted his head. "Thank you Mantis sama." The Kitsune bowed. "This one is Kitsune Shizenko and my companion Raakun."

[Yoritomo Tomodachi]

"A pleasure," Tomodachi says. "On both counts."

Pressing a callused hand to his chest, he says "Yoritomo Tomodachi.

"May I pour you another?"

[Kitsune Shizenko]

"Of course, Yoritomo sama... I would be an honor." the woman offered her cup and nodded.

Raakun looked that nothing has been offered to him and looked somewhat depressed.

Shizenko patted the racoon. "Last time you fell asleep... you are supposed to be nocturnal." She turned to the Yoritomo "So... what brings you here?"

[Yoritomo Tomodachi]

Tomodachi pours, and, at the Kitsune's words, tops off the tanuki's, as well.

Answering her question, he says "Sake in a town replete with tea. And beautiful women, now."

He sways somewhat.

[Kitsune Shizenko]

Shizenko shook her head. "There are many beautiful lady in this town. We are in Crane lands and it is basically the norm." She smiled. "The sake is good and the company as well." The Kitsune nodded at Akatupo and patted Raakun.

Raakun tail wagged happily as the Yoritomo poured him a drink.

See this guy is nice.

Shizenko chuckled. "The courtesy of the Mantis."

[Yoritomo Tomodachi]

"There're a lot of beautiful people here, yeah," Tomodachi says. "But who of them's here, save you? And so good with your hands, too! I've seen your paper-folding, you know."

[Akatupo]

Shizenko shook her head. "There are many beautiful lady in this town. We are in Crane lands and it is basically the norm." She smiled. "The sake is good and the company as well." The Kitsune nodded at Akatupo and patted Raakun.

Raakun tail wagged happily as the Yoritomo poured him a drink.

The nod was returned along with a grin as the barkeep cleaned a certain spot, and kept a watchful eye on the proceedings.

"There're a lot of beautiful people here, yeah," Tomodachi says. "But who of them's here, save you? And so good with your hands, too! I've seen your paper-folding, you know."

Shizenko looked around. The bar seemed empty except for the few local drunks. The Shugenja looked at the Mantis and smiled. "This one is not a dainty flower that only drinks tea... You should see me hunting and training creatures just like Raakun. Origami is just a way to offer things to the kami."

Raakun like the time before curled into a ball and fell asleep.

Then he looks at Raakun and grins. "Little guy's tuckered out."

"Sand is for the shores of rivers and coastal lands... and perhaps gardens. Each grain is different for each grain a spirit can be heard. " She looked at Raakun and shook her head. "it happens when he drinks sake. He is no spirit but he aspires to be."

[Yoritomo Tomodachi]

"Well, then," Tomodachi says, "he'sh starting to make a good run at it, partaking of the spiritsh and all."

[Kitsune Shizenko]

"I am a shugenja after all." She shrugged. "specially one who takes care of the animal.spirits of the forest."

[Yoritomo Tomodachi]

"Well, that's great!"

Tomodachi smiles, flushed.

"Always have work to do, then." He nods extravagantly. "Good to have a purposes."

He leans against the bar, looks at her.

"Sho, any family?"

[Kitsune Shizenko]

"Well... I have 2 older brothers and a little sister. My mother died giving birth to my little sister. Father is teaching the family to hunt and scout. Then there is the fox, the hound and my tanuki." she seemed a bit worried. "I wonder if the kits are already born..."

[Yoritomo Tomodachi]

"Seems a fine crew," Tomodachi says. "An' I'm sorry 'bout your mother."
