In Shizenko's eyes, she saw the cute earth rat spirit uncurl in the corner and sleepily open one eye.

As a good Scorpion would, Choudai found the lack of evidence a sign mostly that something had covered its tracks, and he kept his sword handy.

It had sort-of worked on those things in Naishou Province, after all.

Yoshiaki observed the situation with sweeping silver eyes, there seemed to be little he could do at the moment so he just sort of stood by and observed for now.

"Until all the food is gone." was the reply, as the rat spirit went back to sleep.

[Bayushi Choudai]

Having not really understood the half of the conversation he'd been able to hear, Choudai assumed the weird Fox girl was doing weird shugenja stuff, and stood by for further information.

[Doji Yoshino]

Calmer now, Yoshino waited with the others to hear from the shugenja. She still didn't want to go back to her room however.

Raakun's efforts to comfort her were being appreciated. She now had the time to start feeling self conscious and to reflect. "I didn't feel well this morning. Not really ill, but not myself. Maybe it was that thing?" If not, then she had even more misfortune. Then again, that was entirely possible in Yoshino's mind.

"Like..." It was hard to put into words. It was like it made it hard to put into words. How do you describe that? "Like the world was duller this morning when I woke up. Less vibrant. Not a hangover or a fever, but a fog of the mind. Asahina Jorujo-sama said it is a deficiency of Air."

Yoshino nervously looked to Shizenko for elaboration. The shugenja appeared to be done with her commune with the spirits. The Crane hoped that meant some answers.

Looked at Yoshino then to the two Scorpions and the the Dragon. "I think... I would like to discuss this privately with Doji sama. But we are to keep vigilant of denizens of Gakido and Sakkaku probably as well."

[Doji Yoshino]

The Crane made a pained expression. She was tired, unsettled, feeling out of sorts and now there was talk of gaki and the realm of tricksters. This was the second worst day in her life.
