"I volunteer!" She says with a big grin. But then the Crane bounces on her heels as she remembers something important. "Oh -- do you -- the -- the spices -- before I forget! The spices! Ah..." Nadeshiko bites her lip. "...might I have three favors?"

"Just a glutton for punishment, aren't you, Doji-san?"

He smiled.

"What do you need?"

[Akodo Yaukwari]

Yakuwari's attention drifts for a bit, eyes following one particular person. Then he shakes his head and recalls himself to himself.

Taking up the pen, he adds to his account.

Asahina Asano painted before us, and though her work was compelling, she herself seemed dissatisfied with it. And perhaps that dissatisfaction found itself at home in Bayushi Amieko, whose work on the flute was competent but seemed forced.

Yakuwari smiles tightly.

"I'll understand if you'd rather I not. I thought it would be rude and discourteous to simply display them without asking your permission." Well, now Nadeshiko feels like she's put her foot in her mouth. Why she does the things she does sometimes is beyond even her understanding.

She gave him a soft smile and a bow when he looks up.

Dare I ask if my performance will get a positive entry into the Ikoma Histories? Or is that a secret?"

"It seems some are making ready a burnt offering," she says. "They need to go further with it, perhaps."
