"Good evening mina-san" Yua smiled, giving them all a polite bow "it has been a good day for art, ne? I hope you are all well."

She looked to the Crane woman and added "lovely to meet you Doji-san, I am Otomo Yua."

Her final gaze settled on the odd woman asking her about Mantis of all things, a slight tilt of the head.

"Yoritomo-san? Ah, do you mean Yoritomo Tomodachi? I have no idea, my apology. We only spoke briefly recently. However if I converse with him again I will pass on your regards, although I'm sure you could also do that yourself. I'm an Otomo, not a Miya herald" there was a small chuckle.

Otoko raised her right sleeve as if to block a laugh.

"Ah, of course I know who you are, Otomo-san. After all, have you not shown yourself to be a talented storyteller? " she offered.

She nodded towards the other Scorpion at the table.

'Those who wear the red and black know a good storyteller, even if they themselves are not known for it."

She turned to the arriving Phoenix.

"Ah, but now the subject of the most unique story arrives to join us? Good evening Asako-san. Have you come to share your unique journey with us?"

"If I did that, Shosuro-sama, I believe I would add few new things to what you must have already heard from the Unicorn. However, I'd be happy to converse on the unique fruit of those journeys, which is the acquisition of a miraculous plant that is coffee. Are you interested, Shosuro-sama? I don't presume you are, a choice of a tea house for this soiree may allude to your preferred choice of inspirational drink. In that case I would let your august company not be distracted by my coffee advocacy. But if you have a taste for novelty, I could elaborate." Horuden spoke out his piece after a respectful bow.

"Ah, perhaps the day was not dedicated to Courtesy, Asako-san, but it would be unseemly to turn you away without hearing you out. Please, why don't you share with the group?" she offered kindly.

Horuden nodded, produced a pouch and untied it for the demonstration. It contained small green beans.

"Coffee grows in beans. In size and shape it is not unlike azuki beans, but with altogether different properties. Once roasted and ground, it can be brewed by a variety of techniques to produce a drink that is rich in texture and tones. The colour is not unlike that of kocha, the taste differs depending on the brewing and the soil of a given cultivar, with all combination of five tastes possible. It clears the mind, banishes tiredness, allows for perceptive thoughts and drives spiritual rejuvenation. Whatever one's honourable pursuits, with coffee they may become more plausible as the brew seems to be directly aligned with the Elemental Void and so permeates all elements."

[Doji Nadeshiko]

Nadeshiko sits up a bit straighter as she listens. The foodie in her's perked up now at the possibility of trying something new and (hopefully) tasty. "Would you perhaps be able to demonstrate for us?" She pipes up before shyly hiding her mouth with her sleeve.

Otoko nodded.

"I'd also be interested in hearing Bayushi Choudai-san's opinion on the matter. I believe he has excellent tastes after all." she added to the Crane's request, with a small nod towards Choudai.

[Asako Horuden]

"I would be able to, but only if it pleases all the honourable samurai gathered here." Horuden remarked politely.

[Shosuro Hatsuki]

"Is it safe for pregnant women to consume?" She asked curiously. She also looked toward Choudai, curious about his assessment. Of course, the fact that it was being presented by a monk didn't help...

[Bayushi Choudai]

"What Asako-san describes sounds more like medicine than food."

Or a sort of mirror to opium.

"And if the flavors are so varied..."

He rubbed his chin.

"Trial and error would be required to blend it into any sort of culinary pattern."

[Doji Nadeshiko]

"I'd be happy to taste-test," Nadeshiko adds very softly before hushing again.

[Otomo Yua]

There was a slight narrowing of the Otomos eyes at the subject but she said nothing for the moment.

[Shosuro Otoko]

Otoko titled her head slightly.

"Ah, a problem with going all or nothing, Asako-san. If you do not get all, you get nothing." she mused looking over to the Otomo.

""Otomo-san does not seem to share Doji-san's enthusiasm. Perhaps Otomo-san would care to share her thoughts on the matter with the table? The words of a representative of the chrysanthemum carry a great deal of deserved weight."

[Otomo Yua]

"Hm?"

Yuas gaze moved to Otoko.

"Don't mind me. I'm just listening, I'm sure this discussion on gaijin drinks will be very enlightening" she moved to the side, looking to the tea then back at Otoko.
