"So you all are angling to have next year's gathering in Scorpion lands yes?" That was his understanding of the invitation

Nadeshiko nods with Hatsuki's words.

"Considering the events of last year," She adds very quietly, "It would be a sign of goodwill between the Crane and the Scorpion if they were to host. There are other valuable considerations to the matter, as well."

There's a twinge in her heart, and the woman bows her head, picking up her cup to ground herself with the tea's scent.

Otoko nodded.

"It is good to yet again hear the words that value peace from one who carries Lady Doji within their heart, Doji-san. From what I've heard, there were many in Naishou province,of all clans who sought war when peace was the Empress's desire. Many bridges physical and metaphorical were burned. While the physical ones have been rebuilt, it is good to rebuiold the metaphorical ones, yes?" she offered.

Her shoulders tense as her grip on her cup tightens. Nadeshiko dances on the edge of a knife, so close to being cut; don't think of your own loss.

"I know... the Scorpion clan suffered. It's my hope hosting might also bring you joy and prosperity."
