"Oh no, he likes indoors better than the outdoors... no worries about being eaten or killed by hunters. He may get into mischief but he is soon fogiven." Shizenko explained the racoon's point of view. "We compromise as duty permits."

[Bayushi Choudai]

Well, now I know who we can frame if want to have an animal ruin someone's displays. That's handy.

"Hm, but how welcome is he in an indoor setting? Not everyone has much tolerance for... mischief."

"Depends on the host." The Kitsune sighed.

No doubt someone tumbled a peasant and then claimed it was a nature spirit somewhere.

Shizenko nodded. "We are not here to test our ancestry." The tanuki started to get anxious.

Does this guy have any food? I am getting hungry

The Kitsune let the tanuki go as he did circles around the Kitsune's legs. "Um... this may sound odd but... do you have any rations with you?"

[Bayushi Choudai]

Choudai's eyebrow twitched behind his mask.

"I do not, Kitsune-san. When in town, I am not in the habit of carrying rations around."

A pause.

"I presume your... comrade is feeling peckish."

[Kitsune Shizenko]

"Yes, he is hungry and I forgot to bring him food." She looked at the tanuki running around her leg. "He is like a child and right now he is throwing a tantrum."

[Bayushi Choudai]

How awful for him. Perhaps he should go dig up some flower bulbs from a garden.

"I expect that a tanuki's tantrum is something best avoided."

[Kitsune Shizenko]

"Yes... so I must retire." The Kitsune bowed. She stretched her arms to the racoon to pick him up. "Come on..." The tanuki went to her arms as she carried him as a baby. "Please excuse this one... It was an honor to meet you." She bowed once again.

[Bayushi Choudai]

"The honor was mine Kitsune-san."
