Nadeshiko sits by the pond while writing in her journal, on occasion leaning over to sprinkle the water's surface with a light dusting of koi food. She smiles when the fish gather -- their faces as they swallow their treats make her giggle. Silly koi! Even as they shy away from her Nadeshiko's hand lingers in the hopes they might return.

It's there he finds her, dressed simply, book open before her, ink dripping on its page as she admires the pond.

One who frequented the Waving Grass, and who might described as fishy for various reasons, stood in the background holding a small pink book and looking at the Crane by the pond seriously. He seemed clearly of a mind to go and speak with her, but his face betrayed a certain puzzlement as he observed her.
