"Very true." She was tickled. It was a fun statement. The Asahina had a good way with words. "Have you lived here for long Asahina-sama?"

"A while," Jorujo notes. "Doji-bugyo and I were assigned here some time ago, and we have served together these years."

A smile. "It has been a good life."

[Doji Yoshino]

"Magistrate-sama? I have not met them, but it's good to have another you enjoy serving alongside, ne?" She got along well enough with other Crane doing ambassadorial duties, so she did understand the concept more than just theoretically.

"Knowing the town so well, is there anything you recommend seeing or doing during one's stay?"

[Asahina Jorujo]

"Seeing? As much as can be done. Doing? As little."

Jorujo sips at his tea again.

"Teitaku is meant to be a place of relaxation and contemplation. Even amid the tournament, take the time to rest."

[Doji Yoshino]

"Funny, I met an Imperial yesterday who suggested something similar. I suppose I ought to rest while I am here." She had a sip of tea herself. "It would be a shame to waste the peaceful tranquillity here."

[Asahina Jorujo]

"You see?"

Jorujo smiles.

"Life is short, more so for samurai than for many. Enjoy when you can."

[Doji Yoshino]

"I'm starting to. I'll adjust my plans." She smiled back ever so slightly. "To have less plans."

[Asahina Jorujo]

Jorujo nods.

And he sips at his tea.
