(D2, LN, Doji Yoshino's Room) Like a Thief in the Night (CLOSED!)

As the last of the artists dropped off to Yume-do before Lady Sun could painfully remind them of the cost of spending the entire night celebrating art, but before the servants got around to start their endless chores, all was relatively quiet in the Jinbaori.

Yet in one of the rooms, specifically Doji Yoshino's, something odd was going one. From a painted wall scroll depicting a lovely spring day, an inky black smoke silently began to pour forth. The smoke spilled out on to the floor, and silently made it's way towards the sleeping form of Doji Yoshino.

Yoshino was asleep. She wasn't the most unobservant person going, and tonight she was sleeping lighter than usual, but it wasn't enough to detect the ninja-like silent movement of whatever inky-black-smoke-thing was prowling about in her room.

The darkness fed leisurely upon Yoshino's essence. It left no physical marks upon her, but when she awoke in the morning, she would feel...a bit more empty and detached.

The servants moved through the hallways, quietly making their preparations and the darkness withdrew, flowing back into the painting and leaving naught upon it but the beautiful spring scenary displayed upon it.

The defenceless woman's sleeping soon returned to a calmer, more enjoyable state. She was ignorant of what had happened. Tomorrow she'd be more ignorant in other ways too.
