I wasn't as active as I would have liked but if anyone has any questions fire away, I'm an open book.

Heeeeeeyyyyyy, the only monk Choudai could stand!

1. Did Yoshiaki throw you any curveballs?
2. Did he change a lot from conception to play?
3. Which of his displays was your favorite?
4. Favorite scene he was in?

My standard for this game, it seems: What prompted the character?

Thank you for the intriguing bit of character romance. I'm amused that the initial pause from standard pleasantries to something else was her artistic fascination with silver eyes. I'd pretty much known she'd be trying to figure out how to represent that artistically as soon as I saw the description. ^^

Did you have images picked out ahead of time for the various presentations? If I've asked this before...sorry, my brain is a sieve.

IC, he doesn't know where he really came from, did you have an OOC backstory there, or leave it mysterious?

Ahhhh his favorite Scorpion Chef in town!

1. I don't think so, he ran pretty much as I envisioned, thoughtful, caring, a monk but not preachy or enigmatic. The romance was a bit unexpected but welcome

2. Kind of back to 1 he played about as I envisioned. I wasn't overly specific with who he was until I dropped him in just a rough idea and flesh out through play.

3. His last display means a lot and I think shows the depth of his feelings about a few things.

4. I don't know if there was a specific one and as cliche as it can be I loved most scenes I had with a lot of players Sriyani, Choudai, Nadeshiko. They brought out different things.

Hmmm so original idea was something unorthodox, tattoo just seemed neat and then picture filled in odd appearance which lead to ideas about how he views social norms mixed with the Togashi philosophy culminated in the Yoshiaki we got.

Thank you as well! As always it was a pleasure and I loved their little departure from normal in their first interactions.

Images were all found spur of the moment.

And no it's a mystery to even me, even the darkest depths of his OOC back story begin with a lone baby at the foot of a mountain.

1. Did you have fun?
2. What thing from this game would you like to see in future games?
3. What thing from this game would you like to not see in future games?

1. Yes! It was good fun and as always I appreciate all the work you and GB put into this!

2. Hmmmm player events are a nice idea, can give people things to do while keeping gm load minimal.

3. When the game was previewed and for the first couple days I thought the idea of wins based on description was cool but as it played out it lead to a lot of stress and frustration. Wins being based in GM whims with no clear criteria make it difficult to figure out what to do. With traditional points you at least know why you didn't win that event.

With the Naishou timeline ending, and you having been in most of the games: Any regrets or "unfinished business", either on this character, one of the others or in general?

Oh tons, I don't think I actually had a character reach a full end. Well maybe my Tsuruchi woodsman turned Hare. Though he certainly had more going on that would have been interesting to explore as a member of the Kolat joining the Hare.

Isawa Miyuki from main game 2 never got her maho fuelled revenge on the warring clans for killing her Dragon friend/lover.

And then a little regret at the handful of characters in games where I only had a handful of posts.

Yoshiaki is pretty well handled though, but he never had big over arching plans or anything.

Wabbit-Chan would have made him stay home a bunch anyway, pregnancies permitting... while she ran around Ginhikoing the rest of the time.

Gah, those two.

Ultimate marriage of, "eh, sure, he/she's cute and easy enough to get along with, why not?"

But yes it was certainly an interesting romance 😆 definitely not some great love for the ages. Just two people becoming friends, finding attraction and figuring why the heck not.

"We were just looking to get laid, but, you know what? We both had fun, we both went back for seconds, so... sure!"

Their kids may actually grow up pretty well-adjusted by Rokugani standards because of it

Ah well.

Yoshiaki going to end up a house-husband somewhere down the line, or will he go insane and start tattooing people while they sleep?

Most likely not the first....hopefully not the second. Yoshi does believe it is his duty to be a tattooist for the order. He was given a gift and has spent his life honing it to abandon it entirely wouldn't sit right with him.

He is taking some time to travel, first home with Sriyani and then next spring on Otoko's performance circuit. He will also make more court appearances (a clever mind might notice only ones where a certain Unicorn will also be there.) But his ultimate fate is to become the head tattoo artist of the order
