Sapphire Ambassadors

She had won the previous evening but she wanted to support her new friend so she went to tell stories on the previous evening when she had been a regular. Today she celebrates her win with a nice plum wine.

"Hey, Kitsune-san!" an ebullient Tomodachi says, raising a cup.

Raakun came in a little late. "There you are..." She said to both. "How are you Yoritomo sama? Have you eaten rice today?"

What? I just got a little lost. Found some friends that gave directions. Raakun smiled.

"I have," Tomodachi replies. "And drunk it, too!

"And how have you fared today?"

"Good... celebrating yesterday's mention." She raised her glass. "Join me, would not be much of a celebration with just Raakun and me." Shizenko chuckled.

"Gladly," Tomodachi says and moves closer.

"What're you having?"

"Plum wine... but we can switch it up." She smiled. "How about some shochu?"

Tomodachi smiles.

"Every time I meet you, Kitsune-san, I find I like you better."

"Oh? I might be a bad influence on you." She chuckled.

Tomodachi laughs outright, and loudly.

"That's the first time since I was a boy anyone's claimed to be a bad influence on me!" he declaims.

Yes, that is the right word.

"I'd love to see just how bad an influence you can be!"

His eyebrows leap up and down.

The Kitsune chuckled. "Make a sailor love land... and have a friend tanuki to bounce ideas off."

"Maybe see how a tanuki does at sea, instead," Tomodachi puts back, "and show a foxy lady the motion of the ocean."

"The calm sea or the stormy weather that rocks the boat." Shizenko chuckled. "You don't need to do much to make this one have a good time."

"A ride's no fun unless there's some wave action," Tomodachi quips in reply.

"Is it? There's action and then there is action." She laughed. "A little mischief can be fun as well." The Kitsune winked.

"Oh, I think I can give you more than a little fun mischief, Kitsune-san," Tomodachi replies. "In fact, I'd wager I'd be the best you'll ever have aboard."

"Aboard what?" She tilted her head curious. "What is your plan Yoritomo sama?"

Tomodachi grins.

"Only to seat myself amidships with you and work my oar to take you somewhere very nice, indeed," he says. "If you're willing."

"I am not really strong to host the sails or pull the oars." She shook her head. "Besides there might be someone else who would like to go elsewhere with you."

"I can take care of loading any cargo," Tomodachi replies, "and can make sure any passenger I take for a ride has a fine and easy time of it."
