Choudai cleared his throat.

"Or that bit where you asked where it was from, how specific was it?"

"Weird things floating around at night might be a threat to more than just Doji-san," Hatsuki added. It was too late at night, and she was already tired just going through the day pregnant. She had no energy left to hide behind politeness at the moment.

[Kitsune Shizenko]

"There was a spirit that came through the picture." She explained
"It will probably return." She picked Raakun up and looked at the Doji. "I offer my room if you don't wish to return to your own." She is the lower status samurai in this lot.

[Bayushi Choudai]

"Then we do something about the painting."

Choudai looked it over.

[Doji Yoshino]

"I'll gladly accept, thank you Kitsune-san. I... I don't want to go back in there before dawn. My things can wait." It was a little surprising none of the inn's staff had come.

Her gaze switched to the obvious action hero of the group, Choudai. "Be careful." They moved over to Yoshiaki. "Perhaps you could watch his back Togashi-san?" She was applying the lessons she'd learned hearing many a Crab tell their tales.

Out in the hallway, at the intersection away from her room where she'd ended up, she could only look at her room doors.

[Shosuro Hatsuki]

"Then we do something about the painting."

Choudai looked it over.

She nodded in agreement, then gave one of her few genuinely kind smiles to Yoshino. "Go get some rest, Doji-san."

Choudai looked it over.

It was a perfectly acceptable landscape painting of a lake in the summer. Pleasant enough to look at for guests relaxing in their inn room., Not a masterwork, of course, but something painted by some relative of the inn's. There was a similar, but different one in Choudai's room. There was another in Hatsuki's room which Choudai might know for...reasons. There didn't seem to be anything magical or mystical about it. It didn't feel weird. There wasn''t a secret gateway to another realm behind it. A certain Yasuki could've made a handful of bu on it.

"Not a bad plan Bayushi-san. Regardless even if it seems harmless the earth spirit's warning is enough to warrant taking it some place away from people if not destroy it altogether."

[Doji Yoshino]

"I'll go with Kitsune-san for now. I am afraid it will be back... perhaps we could speak more about it tomorrow Scorpion-san?" By which she meant both Scorpion who seemed to know something about these shadow creatures.

She bows to the group. "Sorry for waking you. Thank you for your help mina-sama."

[Shosuro Hatsuki]

Hatsuki bowed. "At your convenience, of course, Doji-san."

[Bayushi Choudai]

"Of course."

She looked to the other Scorpion. "Bayushi-san, I'm feeling a little off. Would you be willing to escort me back?"

"Stay safe, Doji-san." She bowed and

Yoshino would join Shizenko when the Kitsune was ready. There was still no sign of any servants, which bothered her.
