End of the day drinks (D2 LE Yua's room)

[Otomo Yua]

It had been a long day which also had included the first performances. Yua felt her first performance had gone well and was in a good mood. She was however quite a perceptive one, and noted that others may not be quite as pleased as she'd been. Returning back to the inn for the evening she quietly invited Nadeshiko to her room - an easy one to find as Yua's room was in a prominent position and clearly bigger than the other rooms. She let the Crane girl return to her own room and Yua went back to her own, putting her tea set on the table in her room and also collecting a bottle of sake to put nearby in case Nadeshiko wanted something stronger.

Picking up her book, she turned to the last page she was on and quietly read while she waited.

[Doji Nadeshiko]

Yua's not kept waiting too long -- Nadeshiko announces herself softly enough; "Otomo-sama? It's Doji Nadeshiko. I've come as requested. May I enter?" She waits for the Imperial's response before entering, bows, and then takes a seat across from Yua. The Doji's put her hair back in a covered bun and she looks a little brighter now. "Thank you for having me."

Yua rose, moving to the door and sliding it open, giving the Crane girl a smile and a bow.

"Good evening Dojj-san! Please, come in" she stood to the side. Yuas room had been left as she had left it in the morning, with cushions set up around the table of the small common room she had. Her bedding in the other room had already been unfolded, but as her room seemed to be two rooms combined (likely done specifically because of Yua) it wasn't easily seen.

"You're always welcome Doji-san, and please we're in private so call me Yua. I prepared some tea however I also have a bottle of sake with me" she motioned to the bottle nearby with a maneki neko painted on its side "if you would prefer."

[Doji Nadeshiko]

"Thank you, Yua-san!" Nadeshiko smiles brightly as they both get comfortable. It's a little obvious why this one's not a courtier; she's not got the sense for it. Yet there's a genuine joy radiating off her now that they're alone -- it seems she appreciates the company after today's events... "I, ah, well, I don't normally drink sake, but... it would be nice to unwind... if I may?" Her cheeks gain a flush though as she realizes: "Ah! I did not bring a cup with me, though!"

[Otomo Yua]

"The sake was a gift from Winter Court, called Maneki Neko after the cute little cat. I believe it's a Crane brew from Daidoji provinces? I can't say I'm an expert on Sake though."

She picked up the bottle, pausing as Nadeshiko reveals the lack of a cup.

"Oh dear" Yua commented, a small chuckle escaping as she opened the sake bottle very carefully "well, there is nothing to it, I suppose we'll have to share a cup."

She didn't make it obvious if she was joking or not, although there was an amused smile on the womans face.

Nadeshiko quietly contemplates which it might be, a small blush settling on her cheeks. "Truly, I don't drink often," She says, hoping the answer will illuminate itself. "Such a thoughtful gift, though; are you fond of cats, Yua-san? I think they're so very cute, though I've only had chance to meet a few tame ones on my travels. The little kittens are especially wonderful..." The woman says with a longing sigh. Oh, to have a kitten.

"Cats? Hmm...hai, they are adorable ne? I've never had one sadly, one of my friends did. A little ginger one that looked down on everyone" Yua brought a hand up to laugh "it was quite funny, and very cute. Mimi she was called, and she used to sneak into my friends bags. One time she managed to get out in the dojo and caused quite a scene!"

Yua slid the sake cup over to Nadeshiko, pouring some sake into it.

"I suppose I could use one of my tea cups, worst case..."

Nadeshiko giggles at Yua's story, and she waits for the Otomo to pour herself her own cup and have a sip before touching her own. "Oh? Did she try practicing with her own little swords as well?"
