"An eminently admirable sentiment, Kaiu-san," Aibou replies with a bow. "Shiba Aibou, a pleasure."

"Likewise, I am Kaiu Kunio. What how can I be of assistance today?" (Can I make a roll to see how much I know about his accomplishments?)

Aibou nods an affirmation.

"How would you like to build something new with me?"

"What do you need built?"

"A Legionnaire can appreciate that the Empire needs it, rather than any one man.

"For this tournament is a thing that we can hope will stand in the coming years. How it does now and how it does next year...such foundations will be vital."

"A good foundation starts with choosing the right location."

"Indeed so!" Aibou agrees, enthusiastically. "And I think we can agree, can't we, that there are some places as are eminently undesirable?"

"The crab know a lot about inappropriate places for those who dedicate their whole lives to art, but that conversation could take days when we could just cut to the chase. Where do you suggest the next tournament take place?"

Aibou chuckles.

"Direct words, Kaiu-san," he says, "and so returned: the Phoenix lands. Currently, Yoritomo Tomodachi is trying to pull things to the Mantis lands, while Shosuro Otoko presses for them to go to Scorpion. Neither would be ideal, while Phoenix lands offer access to materials and other resources, as well as being removed enough from other concerns to permit reflection upon art and its superior generation."

"However, the lands alone are not the consideration for Doji Utemaro-sama, hence why you have called this meeting to order?"

"The political entanglements matter, as do most things north of the Wall that keeps back the Enemy," Aibou says. "Among others, the Tournament represents a degree of Imperial favor and endorsement. While there are charms in the Scorpion lands, they are...perilous for many. And the Mantis buying their way into things..."

Aibou shakes his head.

"Doji-sama has a decision to make, clearly. And with some present at the tournament, there will be some significance placed on that decision. Should it be swayed to Scorpion or Mantis...consider what they would gain and whether it is not already the case that they have quite a bit."

"Like with matters south of the wall, there is only so much one can do without support. I will do what I can, but I can make no guarantees."

"It is appreciated, truly," Aibou replies. "One can hope others will follow your banner."
