"Perhaps so, though I am staying as a guest in the lord's manor rather than the inn. I awoke from slumber this morning feeling....ill-rested. I had hoped that a walk to the tea garden might restore me....but it seems to have had the opposite efect." he admitted.

"I see... Such a thing affected Doji Yoshino-san the other day, as well, " she mused. "I shall have to ask after the progress on what was affecting her. Perhaps a bit of extra rest may help in the meantime."

That brought a soft chuckle to the Crane's lips.

"Ah, so you agree with my lovely wife then." he says a bit ruefully. "She'll probably be a bit cross for me trying to push on stubbornly. Still, one should take the advice of their spouse when they can. They sometimes know us better than we know ourselves. If you'll be so kind to excuse me, Shosuro-san? It has been an enjoyable tea, but I'm afraid I am poor company right now."

the last was surprisingly genuine. Truthfully, as far as Crane critics she'd dealt with went, they were far from the worst. He and Akuba actually went for the work itself, rather than being snotty about the medium.
