[D4, EA, expecting] Welcoming Tea

At a pleasant corner table with two pots of tea and four cups on the table before him sat a very smiley Mantis looking quite proud of himself. His disheveled looking light brown hair moved lazily when he shifted his head, but the smile didn't seem to have any capacity to move.

Moshi Tatsuya folded his hands in front of him and happily waited for his guest to arrive.

Jakuchou arrived at the appointed time. Long ago she learned that being late or early could be inconvenient to one's host, so she preferred precise punctuality for invitations.

She approaches one of the servants to ask after the table and is directed to meet the Moshi. Her approach was as one might expect of an old bushi. Practiced, smooth and without any other purpose than getting to her destination.

"Moshi Tatsuya-sama. I am pleased to get to try the tea here. Thank you for the opportunity," she greets with a respectful bow.

"Welcome, Mirumoto Jakuchou-san," the Mantis said cheerfully, returning the bow from his seat. "So good of you to join me. I do hope you've been well this day," he inquired, gesturing to offer her a seat. "I thought we might start with the Flowery Bouquet or the Lemongrass Classic," he offered, indicating first a pot of green tea and then a black.

"They both sound pleasant. Let's try the lemongrass first and save the bouquet for desert," she says with a nod after rising. She takes the offered seat and adjusts her cup just so, as some overly tidy people might.

"My day has been well. I hope yours has been quite pleasant."

"Indeed," he agrees, taking up the pot to pour as his guest recommended. "A fine spring day, hopefully filled with productivity. If I might inquire, Mirumoto-san, beyond the obvious - our contributions to this fine festival of arts - what brings you here?"

After filling the two cups and carefully placing the tea pot aside, the Mantis looks at his Dragon companion thoughtfully, clearly eager to better understand what motivates her.

OOC: Tatsuya is both genuinely curious as well as leaning on his Yasuki technique to see what things motivate Jakuchou. I'm not rolling for it, esp. because the day passed, so just share what she's comfortable with sharing.
