Flanked by plum and cherry trees with surrounding beds of wisteria and shibazakura, the Opening Blossom Tea Room is at its most beautiful in the Spring. The central feature of the Tea House is a huge cherry tree around which are the best seats in the house. It is said that should a cherry blossom land in your tea cup, you will have good luck for the entire year. Even out of spring, the decor strongly reflects the themes of spring, with paintings depicting the spring of some of the Empire’s most famous romances. This is complimented by the caged uguisu who sing quite sweetly in the springtime.
