[Horiuchi Sriyani]

Sriyani nods. "I've seen such things, they delight the air kami, though often not enough to heed my requests," she says with a rueful tilt to her smile before sipping at her tea. "I would imagine the craft used to tune those might also work for such tiny bits of glass or stone, but likely only the soft, high sounds. At least that's what the small bells are like." Her tone is thoughtful, mentally planning as she speaks.

"It would be striking."

[Otomo Yua]

The little Otomo nodded a few times.

"It would look so unique, and the sound..." Yua began to smile more "you are the expert Horiuchi-san, how long do you think it would take to bring something like this to life? The resource would not be an issue, it is the time however that I'm less sure of."

[Horiuchi Sriyani]

A small frown settles to crease her brow. "It would need some trial and error to create shards of glass or stone with compatible sounds when striking something, yet sturdy enough not to break too soon. Perhaps a week's work if focused on it, a few weeks to a month if it's a side project."

[Otomo Yua]

"Is that so?"

There was a small frown.

"Unfortunate but one cannot rush art ne? I was hoping there would be a possibility to create something before the championship finishes as a sample, but I wouldn't wish to take ones attention away from such a prestigious gathering even if it would make for a nice accompyment to a singing performance."

[Akodo Yaukwari]

Yakuwari shakes his head, tries again.

Yet it is the nature of us all to reach for that we cannot attain. No artist, I find myself compelled to make some attempt. Perhaps the Heavens will smile upon my sincere intent.

"Is that so?"

There was a small frown.

"Unfortunate but one cannot rush art ne? "Oh? Something for this championship? " She thinks for a moment. "Could alter a comb to remove the existing decorations, add bells...I've got bells around. Knock enough chips off an agate and one will harmonize, even if I can't get a whole set that does. So more jingly with a bit of chime, rather than full set of chimes. Or a single chip and something for it to strike on..." The cup twists absently in her hands as she mentally knocks things together.

[Otomo Yua]

The frown slipped away and a smile started to form once again.

"I can make arrangements for supplies to be sent to you if there is anything you need, just let me know" Yua said with a nod "we are in a town that is welcoming artists from all across the Empire, I would be surprised if the Crane don't consider that."

She sipped her tea.

"Perhaps we can meet again in a few days?"

[Horiuchi Sriyani]

Sriyani nods. "Of course, Otomo-sama. I will look through my supplies and certainly let you know if I need anything." She glances up at the sun dappling through the leaves, the angle advancing toward twilight. "I look forward to seeing your presentation tomorrow, but the sun tells me I should go do some last minute work on mine before I lose all the sun," she says with an apologetic seated bow.

[Otomo Yua]

"Wonderful! Thank you Horiuchi-san, I look forward to working with you more."

Yua looked to the tree, then back to the Unicorn woman with a nod.

"That sounds like a sensible idea. I'll be watching your performances with interest, please feel free to go and continue your preparations. I'll remain here a little longer, this cup is still warm and it would be a waste to leave it now ne? May the Fortunes smile upon you" she offered a warm smile and a seated bow.

"It would," she agrees before rising to offer a proper farewell bow and make her way from the teahouse.
