Sapphire Ambassadors

Yoshiaki had done his usual routines for the day and now simply wished to relax a bit. This time he chose a garden more his speed walking along the path between the petals of the flowers. It was between showers at the moment. Yoshiaki loved the way the flowers looked, still wet, droplets rolling down and hanging off petals before splashing down to the wet ground.

While they were between showers at the moment, Otoko still had her umbrella with her just in case the weather decided to change it's mine yet again. She walked through the garden with grace, admiring the wet blooms. Upon noticing the well muscled form of the Togashi, she offered him a polite bow.

"Good afternoon, Togashi-san. Quite a pleasant place for a chance encounter, wouldn't you say?" she offered coyly.

While they were between showers at the moment, Otoko still had her umbrella with her just in case the weather decided to change it's mine yet again. She walked through the garden with grace, admiring the wet blooms. Upon noticing the well muscled form of the Togashi, she offered him a polite bow.

"Good afternoon, Togashi-san. Quite a pleasant place for a chance encounter, wouldn't you say?" she offered coyly.

He smiled back "Indeed it is, and feel free to call me by my chosen name Yoshiaki. I feel we've shared enough tea parties to warrant that." He said with a small chuckle

"I had thought about seeking you out regardless so it seems fate has done the work for me." His grin was small and a little subtle "would you like to join me on a walk through the garden?"

"Of course on both counts, Yoshiaki-san. You may call me by my given name as well." she acquiesced. "It is a good time for a walk after all, with the clean smell of rain intermixed with the flowers."

Yoshiaki took a large breath in "Indeed it is. Refreshing." He replied with a small smile as he began to walk through the gardens at a casual pace.

"How have you found the tournament Otoko-san? Did you spend time with those you wished to?" He asked recalling their conversation earlier in the week.

Otoko waved her hand slightly.

"Ah, with some, Yoshiaki-san. I would say enough to perform my duties to the clan, even if I could not indulge my every whim." she admitted.

After all, the Mantis had apparently taken to drinking with minor clan women, and even the Phoenix had halted his awkward affections.

"What about yourself, Yoshiaki-san? Despite the judges refusing to pick you each day, you've presented some wonderful art and will be leaving here an ambassador, most likely. How will you feel when the road reaches up to meet your feet once more?"

"What about yourself, Yoshiaki-san? Despite the judges refusing to pick you each day, you've presented some wonderful art and will be leaving here an ambassador, most likely. How will you feel when the road reaches up to meet your feet once more?"

He inclined his head "Thank you for saying so Otoko-san. I would be lying if i said I wasn't just a little disappointed to not have been acknowledged at least once, but who knows there's always tonight." He says with a little smile

"But in the end I never had any desire to actually win. Political office would likely just make more demands of my time. No, my goal was simply to display the art and techniques of my order and just being here and being named an ambassador will do that nicely."

Otoko nods.

"There is indeed. After all, it would be sad for one of my supporters to not have their time in the light. You've certainly been both well supportive and not nearly as prone to catching rumors as my other supporters." she offers.

Walking the garden, she takes time to enjoy a particular rose.

"Hm, but what comes next for you, Togashi-san? Will you be returning to the Dragon mountains with those who were kind enough to accompany for your art, or will you be wandering further afield?" she asked.

He chuckled lightly "Yes but at least you were well supported."

"As for me I'll return home for a time. Return to my craft." He was quiet for a moment "but I think eventually I will set out again. This trip has shown me so many things I have missed working away in my mountain top home. I believe I wish to see the Empire with my own eyes."

He looked to her "and you? Will you be headed for home? Or will their be a new play to share?"

"Ah, I so rarely go home these days, Yoshiaki-san. I travel a circuit covering the lands of the Dragon and the minor clan lands. I was only here because I was last in Sparrow lands, this was a rare stop for me. I'll be resuming my circuit, heading towards the lands of the Fox." she reveals.

"There's always another audience awaiting another production. It would be a shame to keep them waiting too long."

He smiled looking to some of the flowers before focusing more on her, he could see her better since she walked close to him. "Does that get lonely? Staying on the move so much? Does it make it hard to create lasting connections?"

Sh raised her sleeve to her mask as if covering a laugh.

"Oh, I am rarely alone Yoshiaki-san. Actors rotate in and out of the troupe as needed, but you see them for weeks at a time. And I forge connections wherever I go. Of course, people change as I travel to and fro. Children especially, growing as they do. Granted, I do miss many important moments in the lives of those I am close with, but it is exchanged for a more incredibly diverse cast of connection than if I were to simply tie myself to a single venue."

She turned to look back at the Togashi.

"Have you found the change being here, pleasant Yoshiaki-san, or do you yearn to return to the mountains you call home?"

He listened "having people around doesn't mean you can't feel lonely sometimes." He said casually.

"I have enjoyed much of being here, many new exciting things. But I still miss some things from home, people I usually talk to, curious about them and what's going on."

He thinks for a moment "when do you think the next time you might venture into our mountains might be?"

Yoshiaki nodded "Indeed, I didn't think you had a strict schedule you adhered to. Was just looking for a time frame."

They walked a little further "how would you feel about a monk as a companion on that circuit?"

"Hmmm, depends on the monk. I don't think I could take Busubi wandering along talking of lettuce and cabbages. But a handsome monk, quick of wit, and a body that is a literal work of art? I think such company would be welcome indeed. Do you know of such a man, Yoshiaki-san?" she teased.

Yoshiaki chuckled a bit as she spoke shaking his head in amuesment "Well I can't say I know a monk with all those laudable qualities but perhaps I could make a suitable stand in until you find them?"

"An excellent idea, Yoshiaki-san. Though there is a reasonable risk that you might catch the bug to take up acting yourself. And most likely, due to my nature, I'd support and encourage such endeavors. Are you truly willing to risk such a dire fate?" she teased.
