Bug hunting was something that Shizenko was well familiar with. She didn't have to turn over too many leaves to find a mantis.

She looked at the critter with a bit of amazement. "Hello there..." The shugenja moved to the level of the creature. "I hope I am not interrupting." She was smiling with glee.

The mantis seemed undisturbed by the Kitsune, continuing about the business of survival.

The Kitsune took a deep breath and blew lightly on the little bug. She hoped that the lightly strong wind would break it's concentration and speak to her. Raakun was less subtle and started to poke it lightly.

Either from breath of fox or racoon poking, the little mantis retreated under cover of leaves.

Though as it made it's exit, the Kitsune's eye was drawn to something that was not a leaf. Rather it looked like a piece of paper crumpled up amid the leaves.

"Huh?" She looked at the retreating mantis and the paper. Shizenko picked the paper wondering what it was.

It was crumpled, dirty, torn, and slightly wet. But if she looked at it very carefully, she could make out the careful folds that had once made it a piece of origami. It was dark on the inside, there was likely some ink, though whether anything would remain legible after such mistreatment, it was anyone's guess.

The woman looked at the paper carefully looked at the paper folds and the ink that ran on it. It was sad that such item was so poorly treated. The curious Fox wanted to check out what was written perhaps convey the message to who ever it was addressed.

Carefully unfolding the former origami, there were a few words that were legible.

....so beautiful...
.....wish you could see....

So what are you going to do about it?

"I could try and recreate the origami but with this wet paper will be really hard. The letter well... I am not that skilled with the water Kami to see what was written in the paper but I could try."

Despite her relative lack of skill in communing with the water kami, the Kitsune is able to get them to reveal the original shape of the origami: a crane.

Revealing the name proves to be more challenging. She's pretty sure she can see Doji....but she can't make out the other name, leaving her with .........i.o" as her clue. Probably a iko or an ino,

The Kitsune's curiosity peaked but she must keep this paper and make a new one for the party that has composed such thing.
