Whereas yesterday she was like a ghost, this morning Nadeshiko is full of life, even if her usual chipper demeanor is somewhat tempered with something nameless and intense. She brings her poem's transcription and its context piece to the gallery herself.

Delicately she places the nagamaki on the stand that's offered. Her eyes open briefly as her fingers run over its shaft; leaving it here feels like abandoning a limb.

He'd compared them both to sparrows, once. Told her they married like humans do. Where Akihito got that idea is beyond her, but all the same, it felt fitting to engrave his weapon with the clouds and birds he so loved. Nadeshiko lets out a little sigh before dabbing away her tears with her sleeve. She'd kept her promise to herself. Now, she just has to dive back into the work of living, even if it hurts.

"I'll be back," She promises him before turning to walk the gallery. There was much she missed in her haze.
