Who was Kumaji pretending to be during the game?

Honestly, nobody.

He had a mission not too far off from Teitaku, which allowed him to pass through going there and back.

Sai and I had discussed having him be "on call" for Otoko, and he remained an option if we'd needed to go that way for some reason. (It wasn't a planned contingency, just an available option.) But he wasn't actually anyone else on the cast.

Thank you once again to one of my favorite GMs. I wish I could have pulled in some of your NPCs to Asano stuff more, but... you know.

Were there any NPCs of yours I missed that you think would have been interesting with Asano and her "storylines"?
One of your favori--

*blushes madly*

Jorujo would be the obvious choice, I think, and for the obvious reason.

Ever gonna stop cursing Choudai?

Did you have a favorite NPC to pilot this game?
As to the first: yes, but not yet.

As to the second, see my response to Yoshino above.

Always a pleasure to have you in game!

Sorry for wording that so tersely, honestly there were moments where I initially thought the guy was careless with his words. I.e. telling a crab that there are undesirable locations for the tournament honestly had me doing a quick double take of "did you mean my clan, or . . ."
Oh!

More naive than intentionally rude, yeah.

What was the plan for the villainy with him? I noticed him putting some interesting interpretation of events into the chronicling, but that was the only red "villain" flag.
It didn't come up this game, but in the game where he premiered--along with Inori and Amieko--it was made clear that Yakuwari has an interest in eighth-century history. He also has a Dark Fate. The two were going to combine to drive him towards maho or something similar.

Had Mikan not been redeemed, the pair would have ended up invoking a Shuten Doji...

How fortunate that matters progressed otherwise!

Same question here: Did you have a favorite location, and if so was it used a lot or was it underutilized?

Did you have a planned side plot, or the germ of one, that was never developed?

Did you have any predictions on which amigo and which tea house players would go for? Were you right if so?

Who was your favourite NPC to play?

Thanks for making Jorujo so chill. Super pleasant vibes. I began to imagine them as if they were the local vicar or something, which I suppose was perfect.
I figured Otoko'd get a lot of support; Sai's comment about the Scorpion tending to power-bloc is largely true, in experience, and she was a natural choice in that.

I didn't really have an expectation about the tea houses--although, in retrospect, I should've expected the Leaves to do well, given the food and the puppy.

As far as my favorite NPC...Jorujo and Yakuwari, really. I liked playing the local vicar, and Yakuwari had been designed to be an NPC for later use, so using him for that end--even without his villainy beginning to manifest--was good.

A solid outing to end the Naishou shared-world. Thanks for all the time and effort put in. I know the joys of bookkeeping things like the side-games. XD

Out of curiosity, how were the vying clans determined for the Amigos?

Also, while I early on determined I wasn't going to have the time/energy to focus on the tea games, I loved the little teahouse wars and the characterization of the managers. Given that they didn't have GMs listed as assigned, were they shared NPCs?
In order:
You're welcome; thanks for playing!

Aibou and Otoko came from the presence of well developed artistic traditions (ie School support) in the Clans. Tomodachi was a convenient point of tension for the other two.

The managers were technically shared, but we ended up falling into particular roles from the initial discussion and just kind of kept going with it.

Who was Kumaji during game? I assume he was playing some role in the town. I'm curious what that long assignment was that was tiring him out so much.

Also, thank you for all your hard work! You and Sai always do a great job.
You're welcome!

And, interestingly, nobody. He was honestly simply passing through on his way back from assignment, one that he was told would factor into his promotion. Details of it are [REDACTED].
