Off screen every character would have heard about the three amigos and the Clans that want to host the competition next, and we'd also all have heard about the four tea houses and the family members competing to take over the tea legacy in town?

That's a safe assumption to make. Of course, anyone who doesn't want to have heard about it, that's fine too. We're certainly not going to discourage participation in a side game, but it's of course not mandatory
